Anja started her career at Deutsche Messe 32 years ago and lovingly refers to herself as an “industry dino”. A title she wears with pride, as during this time she has experienced almost every facet of the event industry. Her background is rooted in Operations, where she worked on Deutsche Messe`s and large-scale international guest events in Hannover, as well as partner events in China. She enjoys crafting content and storytelling, and successfully introduced new event concepts and formats to existing events.

Since 2014, Anja has been responsible for attracting international organizers to place their events at Messegelände Hannover – still the largest venue worldwide when it comes to overall space. Through close collaboration with these new partners, she creates tailor-made solutions that support each organizer’s event success. Over the years, she has become part of the events industry family — a place she truly feels at home. And if given the choice, she would choose this industry again without hesitation.

Sustainability is a topic particularly close to Anja’s heart. She has been actively engaged in sustainability matters within the event industry since 2008 and has been a member of the internal sustainability initiative and working group “Fair2Future” from the very beginning.
